Passing the CPA exam in his senior year, Taisuke joined the PwC group in Japan during his college years. At PwC he provided various services, including US accounting policy advisory service to financial institutions, strategic consulting services, M&A advisory services, self-assessment audits, audits for consumer finance, real estate investment, manufacturing, wholesale and retail business, IPO operations and advisory services. After engaging in audits and consulting services not only to financial institutions but a wide range of industries, he took the manager role for the Audit teams of a major foreign insurance group, and a world class electric manufacturing company.

After passing the CPA exam in 2008, Shusaku joined PwC Japan. During his tenure he worked mainly in the insurance sector, auditing Japan GAAP/ US GAAP / IFRS based clients. He also provided consulting services on a post-merger integration for a multinational insurance company in Japan. Post graduating Boston University with a MBA degree, he joined Merrill Lynch Japan Securities as an Investment Banker in the FIG team. There Shusaku has devoted himself to provide client pitches and execute Debt Finance and M&A deals. He has spent 11 years in the US including his childhood.

Post graduating university, Shiho joined Nomura Real Estate Co., Ltd. in 2008. She mainly focused on real estate investment business for commercial facilities as an asset manager. She then engaged in numerous large real estate investment projects focusing on office and commercial facilities as an asset manager at Mapletree Investments and Asia Pacific Land, a major foreign real estate investment company. Shiho has spent 6 years in the US in her childhood.

Executive Advisor Yo Matsushima

After graduating from university, Yo joined the National Finance Corporation (current Japan Finance Corporation) and moved on his career at the Tokyo National Taxation Bureau. As a National Tax Inspector, he was in charge of corporate tax inspection and trial affairs. After retiring from the National Taxation Bureau, he was engaged in planning and interpretation of the taxation system that should be centered on corporate taxation at the Keidanren-related taxation institute (currently the Japan Tax Research Institute). Currently he engages in tax investigation countermeasures and consultancy related to advanced taxation, and is also writing lecture on tax inspections / legal interpretation know-how for tax accountants. His writings include contents on the latest lease tax system, system and practice of international double taxation exclusion, behind the tax office, and expensing methods.

Egypt Country Representative Mourad Mahmoud

Mourad is a finance & Investments professional specialized in structuring equity and debt financing as well as formulating and executing M&A strategies. Mourad Graduated from Questrom School of Business in 2015 and briefly worked in Silicon Valley with a top tier angel investment firm where he was exposed to the fast growth technology companies and venture capital world in the hottest place on the planet where VC activity takes place. Afterwards Mourad returned to Egypt to lead the finance department of a Cloud Communications company with operations in Egypt, KSA and the UAE. He formulated their M&A thesis in Sub Saharan Africa and he is currently leading the company’s investments and acquisitions strategy in Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. Prior to his MBA, Mourad worked in Banking and Treasury, were he raised and managed a debt portfolio of $500 MM
